Location

You will find the apartment located in the city’s 5th arrondissement in a neighbourhood known as the Latin Quarter. It takes its name from the language once heard spoken in the streets by students and professors from the nearby Sorbonne many years ago.

Directly across the street from the apartment lies the famous Jardin des Plantes, the city’s beautiful botanical gardens. Sitting within a fantastic 28 acres of parkland is the National Museum of Natural History as well as a collection of heated large greenhouses. Inside you will find hundreds of exotic plants and this is the perfect place to explore on a cold day. There are several museums on the site including the Museum of Paleontology and Anatomy, and the Museum of Geology.

The River Seine lies only a short walk away. Follow it north on foot and you will quickly reach two naturally formed islands. Upon one, Ile de la Cite, stands the world famous cathedral of Notre Dame.

Getting around the city could not be easier since the apartment is only a short walk away from Gare d’Austerliz metro station.

The Latin Quarter is also very popular at night time so you won’t have to go far to go to trip the light fantastic on the many fantastic dance floors of the city.
