Don’t miss the delightful Jardin des Plantes, France’s leading botanical gardens. It sits just north of the apartment and covers some 28 hectares and was established originally in 1626. Look out for the little zoo here and explore the exotic hothouses filled with fascinating and beautiful plants from around the world.
The nearest metro station is Austerlitz, just a minute’s walk to the east, giving you ease of access to the whole city. Follow the nearby River Seine northwards to discover Ile de la Cite, one of several famous naturally formed islands here. It remains the most famous since it is home to the iconic building Notre Dame Cathedral.
