Ideally located within the 15th arrondissement of Paris and within close proximity to a number of shops, cafes and restaurants, this apartment is literally minutes away from the magnificent Eiffel Tower – one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Proudly standing at over 300 metres tall, the tower was the largest structure in the entire world when it was completed in 1889 for the World Exhibition. Made using around 12000 individual pieces of iron and 7 million nails to hold it in place, the Eiffel Tower was designed by the architect Gustave Eiffel and took more than two years to build. The viewing platforms from both the middle and the very top of the tower boast some truly breath-taking views of the city and attract visitors from across the globe on a daily basis.
Situated directly beneath the Eiffel Tower is the fabulous Champ de Mars, an incredible green, open space which spans over an enormous 60 acres. Named after the Roman God of War, the park is the home to the famous ‘Monument to Peace’ which is made up of 32 columns and two glass structures and features the word peace written in 32 languages. Also close by and definitely worthy of a visit is the Musee du Quai Branly – a fascinating museum which showcases exhibitions of art and culture from Asia, Africa and the Americas.
