The Mithouard Duplex Suite 600 Apartment is located perfectly in the throbbing heart of Paris. Almost in the shadow of the famous Eiffel Tower and just south of the stunning Les Invalides you cannot imagine a better location for your holiday.

No trip to Paris would be complete with out a visit to see the Eiffel Tower close up and perhaps you might want to take the trip up to the upper levels or the top for an amazing view across Paris. There are three different levels you can choose to visit and you can opt to go by lift or by stairs. The walk from ground level to the first level is over 300 steps, so you may want to think wisely about travelling to the top floor although the final tier is accessed only by lift. This towering edifice standing 324 metres high was built for the Universal Exposition of 1889, held to commemorate the centenary of the French Revolution. It was named after its designer Gustave Eiffel. Amazingly 20 years after it was built it fell from public favour and was nearly pulled down. Its important radio mast on top proved to be its only saving grace. Now it is the most visited man made structure in the world with over 200 million visitors since its contruction. Be sure to visit at night when it is lit up beautifully for just 5 minutes every hour on the hour until 11.00pm.

Take the Metro east to Ile de Cite, one of two naturally formed islands in the Seine and famously home to the impressive gothic architectural masterpiece Notre Dame Cathedral. Made famous by Victor Hugo’s novel ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’, thousands flock here daily. The extraordinary external flying buttresses and the incredible detailed carvings above the front door area are a treat for the eye. Don’t miss the cheeky gargoyles that decorate the upper levels. Notre Dame de Paris, its official name, translates as Our Lady of Paris. It is a fully functioning place of worship and hosts services daily therefore if you wish to explore inside be sure to check the cathedral’s website for general public opening times

The nearest metro station is Saint Francois Xavier, just a few minutes’ walk away form the apartment.
