The Fg de Temple apartment is located only few seconds walk from the Saint Martin Canal in the 3rd arrondissement. The nearest Metro station is Republique. To the north you will find Gare du Nord station through which the Eurostar passes.

The apartment is only a few Metro stops away form the Seine where you will find the Louvre on the north bank and Notre Dame Cathedral on a natural island in the river known locally as Ile de Cite.

For an alternative but no less popular afternoon excursion then why not take the Metro east to Père Lachaise Cemetery. It may sound like a strange holiday suggestion but a visit to this beautiful and somewhat glamorous resting place is really worthwhile if you have an interest in the history of Paris. The cemetery was built in 1804, spans 44 hectares and now has more than one million residents. Home to many famous celebrities including Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison, Marcel Marceau, Edith Piaf and Frédéric Chopin, it has hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. The gravesites range from a simple uncomplicated headstone to huge extravagant monuments and even mini chapels. There are other equally beautiful cemeteries worth visiting in the city including Montmartre Cemetery in the north and Montparnasse Cemetery in the south. At the heart of the city, in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, is the charming Passy Cemetery.
